Pasture Raised Poultry Share!

Looking for a consistent supply of fresh, local, pasture raised poultry, a direct consumer to producer relationship, and an abundant wealth of knowledge in sustainable and humane livestock methods all while supporting a worthy cause? Look no further!!

The Grange Farm School is starting up a “Poultry Share” program to give the local community an opportunity to purchase immaculate meat birds, raised on pasture and fed a GMO free diet. This share program provides much like a CSA for the consumer to pay up front for the product and create a close connection with the producer allowing you to know exactly where your food is coming from,along with a promise of a “poultry crop” to keep your bellies full all season long!

Order forms will be located at the Little Lake Grange with a drop off box and collected weekly beginning May 20th!

So, what is all of this hype about pasture raised chickens?…

     Firstly, compared with commercial products there is a significant difference in “good” fats vs. “bad” fats offered. They are richer in antioxidants and amino acids; including vitamins E, beta-carotene, and vitamin C. AND they do not contain added hormones or traces of antibiotics or other drugs.   • Antioxidants (vitamins E, beta-carotene and vitamin C) 

Antioxidants are molecules which can safely interact with free radicals and terminate the chain reaction before vital molecules are damaged.
