Caroline has been farming professionally with her partner Jason since 2007, although growing food has been a part of their life since they were children. Together with Jason, she runs Black Dog Farm, growing heirloom and specialty produce along with a rainbow of cut flowers, all using organic, sustainable farming practices. They also make jam, jelly, pickles, and relishes that are sold at local farmers’ markets and retailers. Caroline is the Director of the MendoLake FoodHub, working to bring local food to the table around Mendocino and Lake Counties through an integrated distribution route.
Caroline teaches classes at the school on value added products as well food safety.
